MUNICIPALITY OF VRILISSIA

Vrilissia is an urban area and a municipality in the Regional Unit of the Northern Sector of Athens of the Region of Attica. The area is historically inextricably linked to Mount Pentelikos, while the creation of the traditional settlement dates back to 1930 in the place of Patima for the restoration of landless refugee farmers, joining the administrative boundaries of the then Community of Chalandrio between Pallini, Athens and Kifissia.

The core of the modern neighborhood is the Holy Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the central square, which is accessible via the railway network from the Metro and Suburban stations of Penteli and Dukissis Plakentia, at junctions 12 and 13 of Attica Road.
